‘Hope’ is intended to provide churches of all shapes and sizes throughout the UK with a fresh opportunity to work together across their communities over a twelve month period. It is as relevant for urban or rural churches irrespective of tradition.

This website contains news and information about the Weston-super-Mare area initiatives, along with a diary of local events and an online Prayer page. Our vision is …  

• To work with the Hope 08 organisation and the national vision of “whole church, whole year” social action and evangelism to spread hope in our communities.
  
  
• To co-ordinate the implementation of this vision on behalf of the churches in Weston-super-Mare and District by organising co-ordinated and joint initiatives and providing links between local churches.
  
  
• To involve as many churches as possible in this vision with a view to deepening our unity in praying and working together.

By the end of January churches and Christians in 1299 villages towns or cities across the UK had registered to express interest in taking part in HOPE 2008 initiatives in their community.

We expect these numbers to continue to rise during the next few months whilst those who have registered will be finalising their plans.

We have already heard many encouraging stories from locations across the UK of people being trained and even employed to facilitate the mission which our churches are going to engage in during 2008 and beyond.
